Free AI Resources for Schools
Robin Hood MAT are currently in the process of exploring how Artificial Intelligence in schools can support learning. As part of this exploration the Trust has spent a year participating in a national working party on AI with Google, Educate Ventures, Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith and a range of other Trusts.
Education is, on the whole, at the very start of the exploration journey with AI and as a Trust we are not pretending that we have all of the answers - we certainly don't. That said, we have spent and continue to spend considerable time researching, testing and thinking about innovation in this area. We passionately believe that education should be leaning into this topic and having a voice and so all of the documents we have and are working on will be shared on this page. Currently our most important document is The AI Highway Code - this is a live document that will be updated monthly. We view this document as a simple and concise guide for staff and we hope it is useful - as part of this guide there is a live reporting form for anyone (regardless of whether you work for Robin Hood MAT or not) to log the extremes of AI work e.g. when it has turbo charged learning/workload and when it has completely failed. If you have one of these experiences then please take a couple of minutes to complete the form and we will then start to share a nationwide picture based on what people are reporting does work and doesn't work.
The final element to note is that we are a MAT of only primary schools and as such we are not currently testing or working on children interacting with AI. Our exploration and innovation is through staff interaction with AI.
